Raghubar criticises state government, says it lacks will-power to solve unemployment issue

Jamshedpur: The former chief minister of Jharkhand Raghubar Das today criticised the Jharkhand government led by Hemant Soren and said that it lacks will-power to take decisive action.

Addressing a press conference at his residential office at Agrico, he said that the state chief minister along with all his cabinet ministers and MLAs are looking clueless before the problems that the people of this state have been facing for the last several weeks. He said that the state government has shown a lack of sensitivity on the issue of return of migrant labourers too.

Questioning the government’s record, he said that though the chief minister talks about ensuring employment opportunities to everyone, yet the government has been largely unable to chalk out a detailed plan for this. The state government is only indulging in making tall claims.

He said that only MNREGA cannot do much in solving the issue of unemployment in the state. The special economic package announced by the central government should be used to the maximum extent in the interest of the state and the government needs to make a serious effort in this direction.

He also stressed the need to build a healthy nation and said that only good health can ensure that India comes up as a rich and self-sufficient country.

Lauding the performance of Narendra Modi government at the centre, he said that during the last one year the central government has taken several historical decisions. He described the special economic package of 20 lakh crore rupees announced by the central government as historic and said that this would bring relief to the common man. He said that this package is around 10 per cent of the GDP of the country.
