Bottle Bomb Attack in Adityapur, 2 Injured

Businessman and JMM Leader Injured in Assault

An alarming attack involving bottle bombs injured businessman Ajay Pratap Singh and JMM leader Babu Das near MTC Mall in Adityapur, prompting immediate police response and an ongoing investigation.

JAMSHEDPUR – A violent has been reported in Adityapur Tuesday night. The incident occurred behind MTC Mall in Adityapur on Tuesday night around 9:15 pm, where criminals used bottle bombs against businessman Ajay Pratap Singh and JMM leader Babu Das, resulting in serious injuries for Singh and minor ones for Das.

Following the attack, local residents swiftly transported both victims to Gamharia Community Health Center. Ajay Pratap Singh, due to the severity of his injuries, was subsequently moved to Tata Main Hospital for further treatment.

The incident transpired while Singh and Das were engaged in conversation behind the MTC building, when approximately four assailants launched the bottle bombs and escaped on foot, creating a scene of panic in the vicinity.

Police were on site within half an hour of being alerted to the incident, initiating an immediate investigation into the brazen attack.

Nitin Kumar, the officer in charge of the police station, disclosed his involvement in a raid with the SDPO at the time of the incident, but they responded promptly upon receiving news of the attack in Gamharia.

This attack on Babu Das marks the second such incident, following a previous life-threatening assault on July 2nd, signaling a disturbing pattern of violence targeting the JMM leader.

Authorities, including the SDPO and SHO, are currently at the scene, diligently working to uncover the motives behind the attack and to apprehend those responsible.
