JAMSHEDPUR – ESIC Hospital, Adityapur, marked its 75th Foundation Day with a Health Mela-cum-Awareness Programme on March 7, drawing doctors, staff, industrialists, and local residents.

The event opened with a Ganesh Vandana. It was part of the ongoing Special Services Fortnight of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation.

A short skit was performed urging people to abandon superstitions during illness. It encouraged audiences to consult qualified doctors instead of believing in ghosts or spirits.

Participants also listened to recitations of Gita Shlokas. The spiritual recitations added a reflective tone to the proceedings.

COP training was provided to help attendees respond to emergencies. Meanwhile, a quiz competition drew enthusiastic participation from those present.

An Ayurvedic stall showcased traditional indigenous medicines. An Ayurvedic physician explained the benefits of various herbal remedies to visitors.

A yoga instructor guided participants on healthy lifestyle practices. On the other hand, the session also focused on the importance of regular yoga.

Three ESI beneficiaries were felicitated at the event. They shared personal accounts of how ESIC healthcare services had helped them in difficult times.

Medical Superintendent Dr. Pradyuman Kumar Singh delivered the welcome address. He outlined the hospital’s key achievements and healthcare facilities available to ESIC beneficiaries.

“The hospital has consistently expanded its services for workers and their families,” a senior official said.

Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Soumendra Nath Saha delivered the vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to industrialists, doctors, staff, and all participants.

Several prominent industrialists from Adityapur were among the distinguished guests. In addition, a large number of local residents and hospital staff attended.

The programme aimed to inform the public about ESIC health services and benefits. It also sought to promote a scientific approach to healthcare among workers.
