SC orders CBI probe into Sushant Rajput case, holds Bihar FIR right

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has given a go-ahead to CBI investigation in Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput’s mysterious death and has instructed the Mumbai Police to give over all the evidence collected in the case to it.

The apex court also said that the FIR filed in Bihar on the basis of Sushant Singh’s father’s complaint was legally correct there is nothing amiss if Bihar has asked for a CBI investigation into the case.

It may be recalled that the Mumbai Police had come under all round criticism after it hinted that Sushant had died of suicide and investigating the hints that he may have been suffering from depression.

With this, all hurdles from the path to a CBI probe into this case have been removed.

Subramaniam Swamy who had raised the issue in a big way along with his associate Ishkaran Bhandari gave a 3-letter comment: “CBI Jay HO!”

Earlier, Sushant Singh’s fans were excited at the hint that Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari might be sent on CBI deputation and may join the CBI team investigating the case.

However, many pointed out that it is not possible as Vinay Tiwari does not fulfil the criteria of being sent on deputation to CBI.
