JAMSHEDPUR – Thousands of devotees thronged Sonari’s Domohani Sangam Ghat where a grand Ganga Aarti was organised on Mahashivratri.
The sacred occasion transformed the Domohani Sangam Ghat in Sonari into a spiritual hub. Moreover, the event was organised on the lines of the famed Kashi ceremony.
The ghat was adorned with floral decorations and vibrant lighting. Meanwhile, devotees began assembling before sunset.
The ceremony commenced with Vedic chants and conch shells. Thereafter, 21 priests performed the ritual in unison.
The synchronized aarti created a luminous spectacle. Moreover, incense fragrance and devotional songs filled the air.
Thousands remained present during the ritual. In contrast to regular evenings, the ghat overflowed with worshippers.
Devotees held lamps and prayed for prosperity. Meanwhile, chants of “Har Har Mahadev” echoed across the riverbank.
