JAMSHEDPUR – Thousands of devotees thronged Sonari’s Domohani Sangam Ghat where a grand Ganga Aarti was organised on Mahashivratri.

The sacred occasion transformed the Domohani Sangam Ghat in Sonari into a spiritual hub. Moreover, the event was organised on the lines of the famed Kashi ceremony.

The ghat was adorned with floral decorations and vibrant lighting. Meanwhile, devotees began assembling before sunset.

The ceremony commenced with Vedic chants and conch shells. Thereafter, 21 priests performed the ritual in unison.

The synchronized aarti created a luminous spectacle. Moreover, incense fragrance and devotional songs filled the air.

Thousands remained present during the ritual. In contrast to regular evenings, the ghat overflowed with worshippers.

Devotees held lamps and prayed for prosperity. Meanwhile, chants of “Har Har Mahadev” echoed across the riverbank.

The illuminated steps reflected in the river waters. Moreover, the glow of countless diyas enhanced the ambience.

Organisers confirmed this was the largest aarti here. However, they ensured elaborate security and crowd arrangements.

Fireworks followed the ceremony and drew applause. Meanwhile, the sky shimmered with multicoloured lights.

The celebration added to earlier observances across Jamshedpur. Moreover, similar devotion was reported during citywide Mahashivratri celebrations.

Religious events have marked the festival citywide. In contrast, Domohani witnessed an unprecedented turnout this year.

The gathering underscored the city’s cultural vibrancy. Meanwhile, comparable devotion was seen at Suryadham Shivalaya event and massive puja gathering.

The event concluded peacefully under supervision. Moreover, devotees departed after offering final prayers.
