Kadma Temple Announces 2026 Annual Program
Shiv Barat and Akhand Kirtan Set for Feb 14-15

JAMSHEDPUR – Baba Jatadhari Temple in Kadma Shastrinagar has announced its annual religious program for February 14 and 15, 2026, featuring Akhand Kirtan and a grand Shiv Barat.
The temple is located in Block No. 2 of Kadma Shastrinagar. However, it was formally established in 1979 on Ram Navami.
Since its inception, the committee has organized an annual akhara procession. Meanwhile, the event has become part of the area’s religious identity.
On November 24, 2012, the temple underwent renovation. Moreover, Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati of Puri presided over the consecration ceremony.
The Shivling was reinstalled with rituals. However, the event enhanced the temple’s spiritual stature.
Since 2007, Rudrabhishek has preceded the Shiv Barat procession. Meanwhile, thousands of devotees participate every year.
Devotees dress in traditional attire. Moreover, tableaux, drums, and devotional songs mark the celebrations.
For 2026, Akhand Harikirtan will begin at 11 a.m. on February 14. However, the concluding rituals will be held at 3 p.m. on February 15.
A felicitation ceremony for guests will follow. Meanwhile, the grand Shiv-Parvati procession will start at 4:30 p.m.
Colorful tableaux and devotional music will accompany the procession. Moreover, prasad distribution will take place afterward.
The temple committee has appealed for large participation. Meanwhile, residents of Jamshedpur are expected to attend.
Committee president Umesh Singh was present during the announcement. Moreover, general secretary Sudhanshu Ojha and other members attended.
Other members included Sheshnath Pathak and Manoj Kumar Singh. Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar Dubey and Roshan Kumar were also present.
Sandeep Pandey and Shashibhushan attended the meeting. Moreover, Pramod Singh, Deepak Vashistha, and Shailesh Kumar Singh were present.
Similar religious gatherings have been organized in the city. Meanwhile, events like the Chitragupta Puja event and the Surya Mandir celebration also drew crowds.
