Temporary Road Closure at TMH Jamshedpur for New Rain Protection Shed

Tata Steel has announced a temporary road closure inside Tata Main Hospital due to construction of a rain protection shed between Emergency & OPD blocks. Begins June 3, 2023.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel, in collaboration with Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (TSUISL), has announced a temporary road closure inside the Tata Main Hospital (TMH). The closure is set to begin on June 3, 2023, and is required for the construction of a rain protection shed.

The development work aims to provide a protected passage between the TMH Emergency Area and Outpatient Department (OPD) blocks.

This initiative is expected to enhance the safety and convenience of patients, staff, and visitors, particularly during extreme weather conditions.

During this period of construction, vehicular access for patients will be adjusted.

Entry to the Critical Care Unit (CCU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), & Jamshedpur General Medical Hospital (JGMH) will be routed through the gate beside the Nursing College.

Exit from these areas will be through the gate in front of the Hotel Centre Point.

However, access for the remainder of the TMH visit will remain unchanged.

A statement from Tata Steel said that Tata Steel and TSUISL are committed to the well-being and convenience of all stakeholders and this step has been taken to provide an improved facility soon.
