Gita Shloka Competition Draws Youth to Spiritual Heritage

JAMSHEDPUR – The Telco area witnessed a grand spiritual event as young students competed in reciting Bhagavad Gita verses at Shri Sainath Devasthanam, Ghorabandha.
Jamshedpur‘s Sai Parivar hosted the All India Gita Shloka Competition. The event aimed to inspire students toward Indian culture. Moreover, it promoted moral values and life philosophy.
Students aged 5 to 13 years participated enthusiastically. They represented various city schools in the competition. The young participants recited verses with proper pronunciation. In addition, they displayed expressive presentation skills and confidence.
The auditorium resonated with spiritual atmosphere throughout the program. Social worker Purvi Ghosh served as chief guest. She addressed the gathering about Bhagavad Gita’s significance. According to Ghosh, the scripture guides human life effectively.
Furthermore, she emphasized righteous action and duty principles. The competition connects younger generation with cultural heritage. Ghosh stated this initiative plays an important role.
Gita Parivar judges evaluated the participants carefully. Renu Bala Mishra and Venkat Ram Sharma assessed accuracy. They also judged expression and memorization skills meticulously.
Winners received cash prizes and mementos during valedictory ceremony. The awards honored Late Umeshwar Prasad Sinha’s memory. Besides, Late Sakal Dev Narayan Memorial Awards were presented.
Chief Guest Purvi Ghosh presented the awards ceremonially. Saket Kumar and Sunil Sinha accompanied her. Meanwhile, all participants received medals and participation certificates.
Sai Sparsh Kaimi won first prize in junior category. Ipil Murmu secured second position in the group. However, Mitrajeet Chakravarti claimed third place among juniors.
Rhythm Bhardwaj topped the senior category competition convincingly. Anjali Kumari earned second prize in senior group. On the other hand, Sneha Dwivedi finished third place.
The event honored two educators with special recognition. Sangamitra Basu Pal received “Guru Samman” for educational contribution. Anshu Kumari also earned the prestigious award recognition.
Anup Ranjan thanked all guests and participants warmly. He serves as President of Sai Parivar. According to Ranjan, the event promoted cultural awareness successfully.
Anshu Kumari conducted the entire program smoothly and efficiently. Chairman Rajeev Kumar contributed significantly to event organization. Nutan Kumari and Rashmi Narayan supported the initiative actively.
C. Uday Bhaskar helped coordinate various program aspects. Durga Ghosh and Anju Shah assisted in arrangements. In addition, Robin Chakravarti and Shiv Prasad Shah volunteered.
Chandrashekhar Singh and Reena Singh managed logistics efficiently. Ashok Kumar and Meena Devi provided essential support. Furthermore, Trisha Pandey and Srinivas assisted throughout.
The organization has been actively promoting spiritual and cultural activities. Recently, Sai Parivar organized a drawing contest for youth development. The group also hosted New Year 2026 celebrations. Moreover, devotees participated in Bhagwan Chitragupt worship earlier. Additionally, a free health camp served 155 patients recently.
