JRD Tata Sports Department hosts fourth annual event with six competitions

JAMSHEDPUR – JRD Tata Sports Department organized the fourth Annual Horse Show on Wednesday. The event featured 84 riders competing across multiple age groups.
The Horse Riding School in Jamshedpur hosted the equestrian competition on January 22. The event promoted competitive riding among children and adults. Moreover, organizers encouraged emerging talents through structured competitions on site.
Participants competed in six different events at the venue. These included Ball and Bucket Race, Pole Bending, and Ring Pegging. Furthermore, riders showcased skills in Tent Pegging and Show Jumping.
More than 11 horses participated in the show on Wednesday. The group included nine Thoroughbred horses for competitive events. In addition, two Zanskari pony breed horses enhanced diversity significantly.
Dushyant Kumar provided training and guidance to all participants. Under his supervision, 54 riders won medals out of 84. However, this reflected growing dedication among young equestrians in regional competitions.
D B Sundara Ramam attended as chief guest Wednesday evening. He serves as Vice President of Corporate Services department. Meanwhile, Swastika Basu from Jamipol attended the closing ceremony too.
Ajay Gupta also graced the event as a dignitary. He works as General Manager for Marketing and Sales division. On the other hand, JCAPCPL supported the event as sponsor.
Jamipol provided sponsorship for the annual horse show as well. The companies backed the fourth edition of the competition. Besides, organizers aim to develop grassroots equestrian talent through such events regularly.
“The show introduces children to structured competitive riding,” organizers said. The programme develops confidence and discipline among young riders. Moreover, it encourages lifelong engagement with the equestrian sport discipline.
Pratyaksha Singh won Best Rider Trophy in six-year category. Darshan Singh Bhatia claimed the trophy for seven-year group. Meanwhile, Tanisha Mahapatra secured victory in the eight-year division.
Livansh Taneja emerged victorious in the 9-10 years category. Nihit Agarwal won the trophy for 11-12 years group. However, Harnika triumphed in the 13-14 years age division.
Shaurya Singh claimed Best Rider Trophy for 15-18 years. Mayank Agarwal won in the above-18-years adult category. Furthermore, Dhananjay Kumar secured victory in Masters 50-plus division.
Aryan Srivastava recorded gold medal performances in multiple events. Shaurya Singh also claimed gold in competitive riding categories. In contrast, Nihit Agarwal excelled in tent pegging and jumping competitions.
Harnika delivered outstanding performances in various equestrian disciplines on Wednesday. Mayank Agarwal demonstrated exceptional skills in ring pegging events. Besides, Livansh Taneja impressed judges with his pole bending abilities.
Several participants excelled in show jumping during the competition. Riders showcased talent in tent pegging and ring pegging. On the other hand, pole bending attracted impressive performances from young riders.
The event strengthens its position as a platform annually. It develops grassroots equestrian talent among youth across regions. Moreover, the show promotes sport culture among children nationwide.
JRD Tata Sports Department has organized similar events previously. The department supports multiple sporting activities throughout the year. Meanwhile, training camps help nurture young talent in various disciplines.
The Horse Riding School continues training young equestrians regularly. Participants from Ranchi and nearby areas attended the event too. Furthermore, the annual show attracts riders from across eastern India.
