JAMSHEDPUR – Unidentified thieves stole gold jewellery valued at approximately four lakh rupees from Waqar Anwar’s residence in Azad Nagar area late Saturday night.

The theft occurred at Bagan Shahi Road Number 7. The house is located near Cross Road Number 3. However, all family members remained inside during the incident.

Nobody noticed any suspicious activity throughout the night. The family discovered the theft only Sunday morning. Moreover, they found the main gate lock open.

The gate key lay on the dining table. The family had kept it securely inside overnight. Besides, the almirah contents were found scattered everywhere.

One gold necklace was stolen from the house. Two earrings also went missing from the almirah. Furthermore, thieves took away one gold ring as well.

The empty jewellery box was found in the courtyard. It had been discarded by the thieves. Meanwhile, the family remained completely unaware during the theft.

Azad Nagar police reached the spot immediately after notification. Officers collected fingerprints from various surfaces. In addition, they gathered other technical evidence systematically.

Police are examining nearby CCTV camera footage carefully. They are also questioning local residents about suspicious movements. On the other hand, investigators are analyzing all possible leads.

Waqar Anwar expressed his family’s shock over the incident. The family feels deeply concerned about security now. However, they hope police will arrest culprits soon.

The victim expects recovered ornaments will be returned. Police have registered a case promptly. Moreover, investigation has been intensified significantly.
