Over 40 Residents Screened on World Diabetes Day

Key Points:

  • Lions Club organizes free diabetes screening at Sakchi facility
  • Dr. Jia Ahmad examines over 40 people with health counseling
  • Awareness pamphlets distributed highlighting prevention measures

JAMSHEDPUR – Lions Club India conducted a free diabetes screening and awareness camp in Sakchi on World Diabetes Day under zone chairperson Bharat Singh’s supervision.

Dr. Jia Ahmad examined more than 40 people at the facility. Free diabetes tests were provided to all attendees. Moreover, health counseling sessions covered prevention and control measures.

Awareness pamphlets were distributed among participants. The materials highlighted healthy lifestyle choices and disease management. However, focus remained on early detection benefits.

Zone Chairperson Bharat Singh addressed the growing health challenge. Diabetes ranks among fastest-growing health problems currently. In addition, awareness and regular screening form effective prevention strategies.

Lions Club continues working to extend health services widely. The organization aims to reach society’s most vulnerable sections. Furthermore, more such camps are planned for future implementation.

Dr. Ahmad emphasized balanced diet importance during consultations. Regular exercise helps control blood sugar levels significantly. Meanwhile, periodic screening enables early disease detection and management.

Patients should not ignore initial warning signs. Increased fatigue indicates potential diabetes development. On the other hand, excessive thirst signals blood sugar irregularities.

Frequent urination marks another common early symptom. Slow wound healing also suggests diabetic conditions. Besides, timely testing makes disease control easier and more effective.

Stress management plays crucial role in diabetes prevention. Lifestyle modifications reduce disease risk substantially. In contrast, ignoring symptoms leads to severe complications later.

Club President Lion Anjula Singh supported the initiative actively. Members Shakti Singh and Rajesh Chawla coordinated camp operations. Moreover, Maninder Sharma and Sandeep Singh handled logistics efficiently.

Raju Shrivastava managed registration and crowd control. Manoj Singh assisted with medical equipment setup. Additionally, Pappu Sharma coordinated with healthcare providers for supplies.

Mohammad Ilyas arranged venue facilities and seating arrangements. Lakhvinder Singh handled documentation and record keeping. Furthermore, Pintu Saw supervised overall camp organization and execution.

Several other members contributed to the event’s success. Their combined efforts ensured smooth camp operations. Meanwhile, community service activities continue throughout the year.

The organization’s health initiatives have reached thousands of beneficiaries. Previous camps addressed dental care and maternal health. Besides, environmental programs complement their social welfare work.
