JAMSHEDPUR – Prominent NRI businessman Bittu Singh Bhatia, who lived in Sydney for more than two decades, has returned to India and joined the Indian National Congress.

He stated that the soul of India resides in the ideals of the Congress Party. According to him, becoming a part of this ideology allows him to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s development. He also expressed that the principles of Congress reflect the very spirit of unity and democracy that defines the country.

Bhatia expressed complete faith in the leadership of East Singhbhum District Congress president Sardar Parvinder Singh. He emphasized that the Congress Party has always represented public service, inclusivity, and democratic values more authentically than any other political organization.

The joining ceremony was conducted under the guidance of District Congress media in-charge and spokesperson Rajeev Mishra, who played a key role in facilitating Bhatia’s entry into the party. Speaking about the development, Mishra said that the inclusion of progressive NRIs like Bittu Singh Bhatia would strengthen the party at both the organizational and ideological levels. He noted that this reflects the global reach of the Congress ideology.

Meanwhile, Sardar Parvinder Singh, the District Congress president, said that the Congress Party has always welcomed capable and patriotic Indians from all walks of life. He remarked that Bhatia’s decision to align with the party would bring fresh energy to its ongoing public outreach and movement.

During the event, senior Congress leaders, Youth Congress representatives, Mahila Congress members, and Seva Dal workers extended a warm welcome to Bhatia. They appreciated his continued commitment to Indian culture and Congress values even while living abroad.

The Congress fraternity expressed confidence that Bhatia’s international exposure and business acumen would help infuse new vision and enthusiasm into the organization’s activities in the region.
