Key Points:

- Accused warned to appear in court before October 18 deadline
SERAIKELA – Rajnagar police carried out a legal procedure in Barsasai village under Seraikela-Kharsawan district by pasting a court proclamation at the residence of a fugitive accused.
The action was led by Station House Officer Chanchal Kumar. The notice was issued in connection with Case No. 74/2025 against absconding accused Sushil Mardi.
However, the police did not stop there. They used drums and microphones to announce across the entire village that the accused must appear before the court by October 18, 2025.
According to Chanchal Kumar, failure to comply within the given time frame would invite stricter legal measures. “The law will take its course if the accused ignores the summons,” said a police officer.
Meanwhile, Rajnagar police have launched a special drive to track fugitives in the area. The operation aims to arrest all absconding accused under pending cases.
In addition, police appealed to villagers to share any information related to fugitives. Residents were asked to inform the local police station immediately if they receive any such input.
The police team present at the spot included Rajnagar officers and other personnel who assisted in executing the proclamation procedure.
