Timken India’s Contractor Labourers Go on Strike Against Alleged Exploitation

Labourers employed by Bhardwaj Infracon Private Limited, a contractor of Jamshedpur-based Timcon India Limited Company, go on strike to protest against alleged exploitation and demand justice.

JAMSHEDPUR – Labourers employed by Bhardwaj Infracon Private Limited, a contractor of Timcon India Limited Company based in Jamshedpur, have staged a strike protesting against alleged exploitation.

The demonstration was held in front of the district headquarters under the banner of the Johar Jharkhand Shramik Mahasangh.

The protesters accused Bhardwaj Infracon of ill-treatment and harassment, including the confiscation of some labourers’ gate passes.

Prior to the strike, they had appealed to the Deputy Labour Commissioner regarding their grievances, but their concerns remained unaddressed.

Demanding justice, the protesters also called upon the Deputy Commissioner of the district to intervene and ensure fair treatment.

They vowed to continue their strike until their concerns are adequately addressed and their working conditions improve.
