Golmuri and Kapali’s longtime offender caught with illegal weapons

JAMSHEDPUR – Police arrested notorious criminal Mohammad Sahil in a raid at Telco area.

He had been active in Golmuri and Kapali for a long time. Moreover, he was facing several criminal cases across two districts.

According to police, Sahil used to threaten people with weapons. He targeted pedestrians, shopkeepers, and small traders.

Meanwhile, acting on a tip-off, City SP Kumar Shivashish formed a special team. The team raided Telco and captured him.

During the search, police recovered a country-made 12-bore pistol. In addition, a sharp chopper was seized.

Officials said Sahil had created fear in many areas. He extorted money and looted using weapons.

Police have sent him to jail after completing legal formalities. However, he is now being questioned about illegal weapon supplies and his associates.

City SP Kumar Shivashish informed that 80 illegal arms were seized in Jamshedpur so far. He added, “Strict monitoring is being done against crime and weapons in the city.”
