JAC Announces 2025 Board Exam Schedule With Higher Registration

Over 17,000 More Students Register for Matric and Inter Exams

  • Matric and Inter exams to run from February 11 to March 3
  • Class VIII and IX board exams scheduled for late January
  • New internal assessment system introduces 20-mark evaluation

RANCHI – The Jharkhand Academic Council revealed its comprehensive 2025 examination calendar.

Student registrations have increased significantly. The matriculation exams saw 4,33,886 registrations for 2025.

Meanwhile, intermediate registrations reached 3,49,825. This shows a combined increase of 17,475 students.

Examination Schedule

Class VIII exams begin on January 28. Class IX follows on January 29.

Moreover, Class XI board exams run from March 6. The Akanksha entrance test occurs on March 9.

Assessment Changes

JAC introduced internal assessments across all exams. Schools will evaluate 20 marks internally.

Additionally, model question papers feature MCQs. Each question carries one mark.

Financial Update

The Secondary Education Directorate allocated funds. Rs 234 crore supports high school teacher salaries.

Furthermore, unrecognized schools must apply by January 15. This falls under RTE Act compliance.
