JAMSHEDPUR – Local MLA Saryu Roy led a protest demanding swift action on delayed development projects worth Rs 27 crore in Jamshedpur East.

Roy, along with his supporters, staged a one-day sit-in outside the district headquarters.

He expressed frustration over the lack of progress in several approved projects in the area.

Despite tenders being finalized, the implementation of these projects has not yet begun.

Roy blamed the delays on negligence and inefficiency of various government departments.

“These projects have already been approved and tenders are finalized, but there has been no action,” Roy stated during the protest.

He also criticized Tata Steel USIL for not addressing the pending projects in regions under its control.

According to Roy, multiple projects remain stalled both in government-managed areas and those under Tata’s jurisdiction.

His protest reflects growing local dissatisfaction with the slow pace of development work.

Roy argued that these projects could greatly improve local infrastructure if executed in a timely manner.

Officials have yet to respond to his allegations, though the administration faces increasing pressure.

The local population is looking for answers as development efforts have been delayed for months.
