JAMSHEDPUR – A major accident occurred in Seraikela’s Rajnagar area on Friday evening when a mud house suddenly collapsed during heavy rainfall.
The incident took place in Dandu village, where 10 people, including family members and guests, were buried under debris. Panic spread through the village after the collapse. However, villagers acted swiftly and used tools and bare hands to remove mud and rescue the trapped people. Rescue efforts were hampered by mud and continuous rain.
All the injured were rushed to Rajnagar Community Health Centre by 108 ambulance service. Doctors provided initial treatment, but seven people, including a mother and son, were referred to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur due to critical condition.
After receiving the report, BDO Malay Kumar and JMM central member Bishu Hembram reached the health centre and later inspected the accident site. Local Mukhiya Sano Tudu was also present at the spot.
