CHAKRADHARPUR – Subhash Sharma, a 42-year-old railway train manager from Chakradharpur, died in a tragic road accident on Friday afternoon. He was on his way to the railway station’s guard lobby when the incident occurred.

Subhash, riding his motorcycle, lost control near Hanuman Chowk and collided with a tractor in front of the V-2 Shopping Mall. The tractor’s rear wheel ran over him, leaving him critically injured.

Immediate Medical Response

Local residents rushed Subhash to Chakradharpur Railway Hospital in a desperate attempt to save his life. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. His body was later sent to the subdivision hospital for postmortem.

Family Devastated by Tragedy

The news of his demise devastated his family. His mother fainted at the sight of his body, while his wife, inconsolable, mourned his untimely death. Subhash leaves behind a four-year-old daughter.

A Popular Figure in the Community

Subhash was known for his active involvement in sports. On Thursday, he participated in a cricket match for the Morning Walk XI at the PPP Trophy. On Friday morning, he was seen practicing at the SERSA Stadium, cheerfully interacting with fellow players.

Community in Mourning

The Chakradharpur railway staff and residents of Jhumka Mohalla expressed deep grief over the loss. Subhash’s vibrant personality and contributions to local cricket will be greatly missed.
