JAMSHEDPUR – The Ranchi Meteorological Centre has forecast a significant temperature drop across Jharkhand, with cold wave conditions likely in isolated areas.
Current Weather Pattern
North-westerly winds dominate the region’s weather. These winds are bringing colder air masses from northern India.
Moreover, Jamshedpur recorded 14.6°C minimum temperature today. Meanwhile, Ranchi registered a slightly lower reading at 13.8°C.
Regional Variations
In contrast, Daltonganj experienced cooler conditions at 12°C. Bokaro reported similar temperatures at 12.2°C.
However, Chatra emerged as the coldest location. The district recorded a minimum temperature of 9.2°C.

On the other hand, medical experts have issued precautionary advice. A health official stated, “Elderly and children need extra protection.”
Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation over Madhya Pradesh remains ineffective. The cold wave conditions continue to intensify across Jharkhand.
