JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur plant will observe a four-day closure, affecting employee wages and production schedules.

The plant head has issued a circular detailing the closure plans.

On Thursday, October 10, the company will implement a block closure.

Employees will receive 50% of their wages during this period.

Those called for duty will be compensated with an alternate day off.

Friday, October 11, has been declared a holiday in exchange for a previous Sunday workday.

Moreover, Saturday, October 12, marks the Vijaya Dashami holiday.

Sunday, October 13, remains the regular weekly off day.

Separate circulars have been issued for each day’s arrangements.

This fiscal year has seen numerous closures at Tata Motors.

Consequently, employees have faced wage losses due to these disruptions.

Furthermore, the Adityapur industrial area is feeling the ripple effects of these closures.

Management bases block closure decisions on current work orders.

In addition, these closures align with previously negotiated agreements.

A knowledgeable source stated, "The frequent closures are impacting both the workforce and the local industrial ecosystem."

On the other hand, the company maintains that these measures are necessary to balance production with market demand.
