JAMSHEDPUR – Inspector General Akhilesh Jha held a crucial meeting at the SSP office to address rising crime rates in the city.

Senior police officials welcomed the IG upon his evening arrival. “We have issued specific directives to control criminal activities,” a senior official said.

Focus on Criminal Records

The meeting emphasized monitoring individuals with criminal histories. “Officers must maintain heightened surveillance on suspicious activities,” a police source revealed.

Station officers received instructions to expedite case investigations. Meanwhile, they were asked to strengthen their intelligence networks.

Strategy for Property Crimes

House break-ins have shown an upward trend recently. “Our prime focus is on preventing thefts and burglaries,” an investigator explained.

Moreover, the authorities plan to enhance resources for solving these cases. However, quick resolution remains the top priority.
