Jugsalai Resident Sentenced for Copper Theft
M Ali receives one-year sentence for stealing 30 kg of copper wire from Tata Steel, reflecting local law enforcement’s diligence.
Court’s verdict on Tata Steel copper wire theft emphasizes the judiciary’s commitment to upholding law and order in Jugsalai.
JAMSHEDPUR – M Ali, from Jugsalai Garib Nawaz Colony, has been handed a one-year prison term for the theft of 30 kg copper wire from Tata Steel.
The ruling was issued by ADJ-5 Manju Kumari, marking a significant judgment in local criminal proceedings.
Considering the time Ali has already spent in jail since his arrest on February 6, 2023, the court decided on his immediate release.
The incident leading to Ali’s apprehension by Tata Steel’s security personnel unfolded on the same day he was jailed.
Charges were based on Ali’s possession of stolen property, underlining the effectiveness of law enforcement in tracking and prosecuting theft.
Despite the inability to prove charges under Section 413 of the IPC, Ali’s guilt under Section 411 was confirmed, highlighting the judiciary’s thorough examination of evidence.
This case concluded with testimonies from four individuals, which played a crucial role in establishing the facts of the theft.
An FIR was filed against Ali for theft and dealing in stolen goods, underscoring the legal framework’s responsiveness to criminal activities.
