SDO Shatabdi Mazumdar led the inspection team near local schools. “We will not tolerate such violations,” remarked a senior official.
The raids targeted shops within 100 yards of school premises. Moreover, authorities seized tobacco products from five establishments.

Each violating shop owner received a ₹1,000 penalty. Additionally, officials confiscated all prohibited items during the operation.
