Teams Set to Represent Jharkhand at National Championship

JAMSHEDPUR – East Singhbhum district has secured a historic double victory in the 22nd Jharkhand Senior State Ball Badminton Championship.

East Singhbhum’s men’s team displayed remarkable resilience in the championship matches. Initially, they faced a setback against Seraikela-Kharsawan.

However, the team bounced back strongly in subsequent matches. They leveled the contest with a 35-30 win.

Meanwhile, the decisive match saw East Singhbhum emerge victorious with a score of 35-28.

Women’s Division Triumph

The women’s squad from East Singhbhum exhibited exceptional skill. They secured a thrilling victory against West Singhbhum.

Moreover, the team clinched the title with scores of 35-33 and 39-37.

National Championship Preparations

The tournament serves as a selection ground for upcoming national events. The chosen players will compete in Ballari, Karnataka.

Furthermore, the 70th Senior National Ball Badminton Championship is scheduled for February 6-9.

“The performance level at this tournament has been exceptional,” remarked a senior tournament official.

K. Rama Krishna Rao led the organizing committee. The event featured significant support from local sports personalities.

On the other hand, Tata Motors Union leaders graced the opening ceremony. They participated in the flag-hoisting event.

Additionally, the championship received backing from various sponsors. K. Ram Mohan Rao contributed significantly to the event.
