JAMSHEDPUR – Nehru Sangh Vikas Samiti organized a Matki Phod contest on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami at Sonari Nehru Ground in Jamshedpur on Sunday.
Local youths participated enthusiastically in the event. The committee has been conducting this contest every year, and this marked its 15th edition.
Former Zila Parishad vice-chairman Rajkumar Singh attended as the chief guest. He encouraged the participants and said that such celebrations promote Sanatan culture and attract the younger generation towards it.
The highlight of the contest was its collective spirit. The matki was broken through combined efforts, and no individual winner was declared.
