NOAMUNDI – A tempo carrying laborers overturned in Gua’s Thakura village, injuring 14 workers. All injured were taken to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
The accident occurred when the tempo’s driver lost control on a bridge. The vehicle was reportedly overloaded with laborers, packed tightly by the contractor. The workers, residents of the Noamundi area, were heading to a railway site in Thakura for construction work.
Negligence in Transport Arrangements
Witnesses allege that the tempo was overloaded, and workers were packed like livestock. While crossing a bridge, the driver lost control, causing the tempo to overturn. The incident highlights the dangers of unsafe transport practices.
Victims’ Details Revealed
Among the injured are Manaki Hembram, Tima Purti, Chumru Chatomba, Narsingh Chatomba, Harish Chatomba, Sansang Topno, Gona Kerai, Soma Bader, Sukhram Barjo, Charan Guri, and Gangaram Barjo. They were immediately admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
