JAMSHEDPUR – Acting on a tip-off from SSP Kishore Kaushal, police raided a premises in Khuntadih D Block, Sonari, uncovering a drug racket and seizing a substantial quantity of illegal items. The operation led to the arrest of Moni Borkar, alias Gautam Borkar, the property owner.
Major Seizures in Police Operation
During the raid, authorities confiscated 136 bottles of intoxicating cough syrup, 23 liters of homemade Mahua liquor, 107 bottles of Wincrex cough syrup, 29 bottles of Vanrex cough syrup, and two mobile phones. The seized items underline the scale of the illegal operation.
Arrest and Investigation
Moni Borkar, identified as the mastermind behind the operation, was arrested on-site. Police revealed that the location was used for manufacturing and distributing illicit drugs and alcohol, posing a serious threat to the local community.

The raid was executed under the leadership of DSP Niranjan Tiwari, Sonari Station in-charge Kumar Saryu Anand, SI Amit Kumar Chaudhary, and ASI Umesh Singh, among others. Their coordinated effort highlights the police’s commitment to cracking down on illegal activities in Jamshedpur.
