JAMSHEDPUR – The Joint Annual Training Camp-16 concluded at Kerala Public School Kadma with 300 NCC cadets from Kolhan completing intensive military and cultural training.
The ten-day camp featured comprehensive training activities focused on discipline, leadership, and patriotism. The camp included obstacle courses, weapon training, and map reading exercises.
Cultural Celebrations
The closing ceremony featured vibrant performances by cadets. “The cultural program demonstrated the cadets’ exceptional talent and dedication to both military discipline and artistic expression,” remarked a senior NCC officer.
ESM Sharadendu Shekhar and team presented patriotic performances that received widespread appreciation.
Awards and Recognition
Col. Rakesh Sharma distributed medals and cash prizes to exceptional cadets. Winners emerged from various competitions including rifle shooting, drill formations, and cultural events.
Local army units provided specialized training sessions during the camp. The 220 Field Regiment conducted demonstrations on modern warfare techniques.
Future Initiatives
Col. Vinay Ahuja highlighted plans for enhanced training programs. “We aim to expand our training curriculum to include cyber defense and disaster management,” noted a training coordinator.
The camp strengthened ties between NCC and local educational institutions. Plans are underway for quarterly joint exercises with neighboring NCC battalions.
