JAMSHEDPUR – The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) team conducted a comprehensive legal awareness camp at Sarse village in Potka block under JHALSA’s directives.
The mobile van campaign aimed to educate villagers about legal rights. Moreover, the team provided information about government welfare schemes.
Legal Education
Officials explained laws regarding cyber crime and domestic violence. Additionally, they addressed issues like child marriage and human trafficking.
The team focused on dowry and witch-hunting prevention. Furthermore, they guided villagers about accessing government schemes.
Village Concerns
Sarse residents reported severe infrastructure problems. Meanwhile, they highlighted the absence of elected representatives’ visits.
The predominantly Santhal community village lacks development. However, poor road conditions particularly affect mobility during monsoons.
Outreach Efforts
PLVs conducted door-to-door campaigns in Rasunchopa panchayat. Besides, they encouraged villagers to visit Legal Aid Clinics.
Team members including Nagendra Kumar and Dovo Chakiya participated. On the other hand, they emphasized DLSA office accessibility for legal support.
