JAMSHEDPUR – The Press Club of Jamshedpur held its oath-taking and fellowship ceremony at Nirmal Guest House, where newly elected members, including President Manoj Singh, General Secretary Vinay Purty, and Treasurer Ajay Mahto, took their oaths and pledged to work for the unity and growth of the club.

Event Highlights

The ceremony was presided over by senior journalist Anand Kumar of the Press Club Election Committee. Chief Election Officer and Chief Patron Brajbhushan Singh called for initiatives to expand membership and establish a dedicated Press Club building to support journalists. Ganesh Mehta, Editor of Hindustan and a patron of the club, administered the oaths and urged the members to stand firm in advocating for journalists’ rights.

Prominent figures, including founder president Brajesh Singh, former president Prashant Singh Putul, and patrons like Devanand Singh, shared their perspectives on strengthening the Press Club and its objectives.

Support for Journalists

In a gesture of solidarity, journalist Laxman Prasad, who is currently unwell, was honored and provided financial assistance.

Attendees and Acknowledgments

The event witnessed participation from senior journalists and election committee members, including Arindam Sinha, Ajay Shankar, Arun Singh, and SN Dubey, among others. Dignitaries like Dilawar Sahu, Unit Head of Dainik Jagran, and patron Jayprakash Rai also encouraged the newly elected members.

A large number of journalists were honored with shawls and mementos for their contributions, including prominent names like Raghavendra Sharma, Adityanath Jha, Ratnesh Tiwari, and many more. Treasurer Ajay Mahto extended the vote of thanks, concluding the event on a positive note.
