Timber Smugglers Cut 47 Eucalyptus Trees in Palamu’s Sungari Village

Officials seize truck and tractor loaded with illegally felled trees

MEDININAGAR – Circle Officer Upendra Kumar seized vehicles loaded with illegally felled eucalyptus trees in Sungari village.

The administration received information about illegal tree cutting. Meanwhile, smugglers were loading timber onto trucks and tractors.

The Circle Officer rushed to the spot with a team. However, the smugglers fled with their JCB machine.

Administrative Action

Officials confiscated one truck and a tractor loaded with timber. Furthermore, they handed over the vehicles to Chhatarpur police station.

The administration has launched a detailed investigation. Moreover, they will verify if the land was government or private property.

Legal Requirements

Circle Officer Kumar explained tree-cutting regulations. Additionally, he confirmed no permissions were granted for felling trees.

According to rules, permission is mandatory for cutting trees. Meanwhile, officials are working to identify the smugglers.
