JAMSHEDPUR – A land dispute in the Mango police station area of Jamshedpur turned deadly when Rasik Manjhi, a local resident, was brutally beaten to death with sticks by two brothers from the neighborhood. The incident has left the community in shock and fear.

The altercation, which occurred on Monday night, escalated from a long-standing land dispute between the deceased and the accused. Eyewitnesses reported that the two brothers launched a relentless attack on Manjhi, leaving him fatally injured. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Police Response and Arrests

Upon receiving information, Mango police arrived at the scene, secured the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. Both accused were apprehended immediately and are in police custody. Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is underway to uncover more details about the case.

Community in Fear

Residents of the area have expressed fear and concern following the violent incident. Neighbors revealed that the land dispute had caused prior arguments but did not anticipate such a tragic escalation. “We never imagined it would end in such violence,” a local resident said.

Family Mourns Loss

The family of Rasik Manjhi, who was the sole breadwinner, is devastated by the loss. A grieving family member stated, “His death has left us shattered; he was our only support.”

Police officials are working to ensure that no further disputes arise in the area and have urged residents to report any tensions or issues. The investigation is expected to reveal additional facts.
