JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur FC secured a 2-0 victory against East Bengal FC in an exhilarating Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 match.

The game took place on Saturday, October 5, at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

Over 20,000 fans witnessed the thrilling encounter between the two teams.

Rei Tachikawa opened the scoring for Jamshedpur FC in the first half.

An own goal by Lalchungnunga in the second half doubled Jamshedpur’s lead.

Goalkeeper Albino Gomes delivered an outstanding performance for the home team.

His crucial saves, including a penalty stop, kept East Bengal’s comeback hopes at bay.

Jamshedpur FC started the match aggressively, creating early chances.

However, East Bengal had their fair share of opportunities throughout the game.

Madih Talal and Cleiton Silva came close to scoring for the visitors.

In the 21st minute, Tachikawa’s long-range strike gave Jamshedpur FC the lead.

The second half saw East Bengal pushing for an equalizer.

Nevertheless, Jamshedpur’s defense, led by Gomes, stood firm against the attacks.

Imran Khan was named the key performer, creating three chances during the match.

This victory propels Jamshedpur FC to third place in the ISL table.

They now have nine points from four matches in the current season.

The win also marks Khalid Jamil’s fourth victory over East Bengal in the ISL.

Jamshedpur FC’s next match is against Hyderabad FC on October 21.
