Education Minister announces new colleges, commits support to higher education

GHATSHILA – Sona Devi University celebrated its first foundation day “Shankhnad 2024” with Education Minister Ramdas Soren as chief guest.

The minister emphasized government’s focus on improving education quality. He announced plans to prevent student migration for higher studies.

“We aim to make students self-reliant through technical education,” stated Ramdas Soren. Moreover, he assured full support to the university.

The ceremony began with traditional lamp lighting and Ganesh Vandana. Meanwhile, faculty members took a pledge of dedication.

Academic Excellence

Vice-Chancellor Dr. J.P. Mishra addressed the gathering. Furthermore, he encouraged students to become good humans besides good scholars.

The university highlighted its unique research activities. In addition, Registrar Prof. Dr. Gulab Singh Azad presented the annual report.

Cultural Celebrations

Students presented various cultural performances during the event. On the other hand, faculty members attended in large numbers.

The minister praised Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s educational initiatives. Meanwhile, plans for technical education advancement were discussed.
