Jamshedpur’s 34th Flower Show to Honor Ratan Tata with Special Rose Tribute

Annual Event Returns with Rose Convention After 12-Year Gap at Gopal Maidan

JAMSHEDPUR – The 34th annual Flower Show, scheduled from December 29 to January 1 at Gopal Maidan, will unveil a special rose variety named after industrialist Ratan Tata who passed away in October.

The Horticulture Society of Jamshedpur is organizing the event with Tata Steel. Moreover, the show coincides with the 41st All India Rose Convention returning after 12 years. The exhibition will remain open from 9 AM to 9 PM daily.

Special Tributes and Exhibits

Sumita Nupur, President of the Horticulture Society, announced special arrangements. “A dedicated enclosure will honor Ratan Tata’s memory,” revealed a society official. Additionally, exhibits from across India will showcase rare flower varieties.

Technical Sessions and Activities

Dr. Anuradha Mahapatra outlined the educational components. Furthermore, experts will conduct workshops on sustainable gardening practices. The event includes competitions for students from 20 schools.

Visitor Experience

The organizers expect 80,000 visitors this year. Meanwhile, sixteen octogen hangers and 30 nurseries will offer horticultural products. Ten food stalls will cater to visitors during the four-day event.
