IMD Forecasts Rise in Temperature Amid Western Disturbance Impact
Key Points:
- Southern districts to receive rainfall due to cyclonic circulation
- Moderate to shallow fog alert issued for next two days
- Minimum temperatures show upward trend across Jharkhand
JAMSHEDPUR – The India Meteorological Department has predicted light rainfall in southern Jharkhand over the next 48 hours due to a cyclonic circulation.
Several districts in southern Jharkhand are likely to experience light showers. The rainfall forecast stems from a Western Disturbance.
Meanwhile, meteorologists have issued alerts for moderate to shallow fog. The fog conditions could affect visibility in isolated areas.
Temperature Trends
Minimum temperatures have increased notably across the state. Jamshedpur recorded 9.5°C while Ranchi registered 9°C.
On the other hand, Daltonganj noted 7.5°C. Moreover, Bokaro documented 9.2°C.
“The rising temperatures provide relief from the recent cold spell,” stated a local weather expert.
Impact and Precautions
The weather changes could affect daily activities and agriculture. Farmers need to protect their crops from unexpected rain.
Furthermore, commuters should exercise caution during foggy conditions. The fog alert remains active for the next two days.
Besides, experts predict continued temperature fluctuations. The daytime temperatures may stay between 22-25°C.
In addition, Western Disturbances often cause sudden weather changes. These systems originate from the Mediterranean region.
“Jharkhand’s location makes it vulnerable to various weather systems,” explained a senior meteorologist.
