JAMSHEDPUR – Under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, Mango Municipal Corporation conducted an anti-encroachment drive on Tuesday to resolve traffic congestion in the Mango area. Encroachments along the central verge and roadsides between Mango Chowk and Dimna Chowk were cleared.
During the drive, illegal vendors, including temporary vegetable sellers, cart operators, and small shopkeepers, were removed from the roadsides. Authorities issued strict warnings to refrain from occupying roads again, emphasizing the safety risks and traffic disruptions caused by such encroachments.
Assistant Municipal Commissioner Aqib Javed oversaw the operation as the magistrate-in-charge. Local police officers, Quick Response Teams (QRT), and sufficient police personnel were deployed to ensure the operation was conducted smoothly.
Officials cautioned that legal action would be taken against those re-encroaching the cleared areas. The drive also aimed to improve pedestrian and vehicular movement in the busy Mango locality.
Additionally, extra manpower has been deployed to regulate traffic flow effectively. The district administration continues to monitor traffic conditions in Mango and implement measures to ensure smooth and safe commutes for residents.
