JAMSHEDPUR – Senior politician and Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy, known as the “Chanakya of Jharkhand politics,” made a striking comment regarding his political victories. Roy stated that defeating Congress leader and minister Banna Gupta was far easier than defeating former Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

Roy’s comments came during a recent public interaction where he emphasized that unseating Banna Gupta did not pose any significant challenge. “There was no difficulty in defeating Banna Gupta,” Roy remarked, underlining his confidence in the political contest.

Saryu Roy, a former BJP leader turned independent MLA, had previously caused a major upset by defeating Raghubar Das in the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections. His victory over Das, then the sitting Chief Minister, was viewed as a turning point in Jharkhand’s political landscape.

Meanwhile, his latest remarks have sparked reactions within political circles, particularly among supporters of Banna Gupta. Analysts suggest that Roy’s statement highlights deep-rooted political rivalries and his growing influence in Jharkhand politics.

As Jharkhand prepares for upcoming political battles, Saryu Roy’s comments have added further intrigue to the region’s political dynamics.
