JAMSHEDPUR – President Droupadi Murmu laid the foundation stone for developmental projects worth ₹6400 crore in Odisha on December 7, 2024.

The event was conducted at Bansapani, Odisha, and included the inauguration of three new railway lines.

The newly launched rail lines are:

  1. Bansapani to Goaldihani

  2. Budhamra to Chakulia

  3. Badampahar to Kendujhargarh

These projects aim to enhance regional connectivity and create employment opportunities.

Infrastructure Development Highlights

The launch also included the foundation of several other facilities, including:

  • Tribal Research and Development Center in Rairangpur

  • Upgraded Rairangpur sub-district hospital for improved healthcare

  • Development of Dandbose Airstrip in Rairangpur under the UDAN scheme
