Foundation Hosts Large Camp With Strong Public Participation

Key Points:

  • Large turnout at blood donation camp on May Day
  • Youth and citizens actively joined humanitarian initiative
  • Organisers highlight social responsibility beyond labour rights

JAMSHEDPUR – A blood donation drive on May Day saw strong public participation and highlighted community responsibility toward healthcare support.

The city observed International Workers’ Day with a social initiative. However, a blood donation camp drew wide public attention.

The event was organised by Sheila Memorial Foundation. Meanwhile, many residents gathered early to participate.

Long queues of donors were seen since morning. Moreover, enthusiasm among youth remained high throughout the event.

The medical team ensured safe blood collection procedures. In addition, trained staff monitored each donor carefully.

Youth, social workers, and citizens participated actively. On the other hand, organisers focused on awareness about voluntary donation.

A foundation patron explained the purpose behind the drive. However, he said May Day is more than labour remembrance.

He stated the day also promotes social responsibility. Moreover, helping patients in need remains equally important.

Organisers arranged certificates for all blood donors. Meanwhile, participants were honoured for their contribution.

The foundation confirmed future public welfare programmes. In contrast, they plan more health-related awareness drives.

The event delivered a strong social message. Moreover, it encouraged collective action for community welfare.

Such initiatives often support hospitals facing shortages. Meanwhile, voluntary donation remains critical in emergency care systems.

The programme added significance to Workers’ Day celebrations. However, it also strengthened civic engagement in Jamshedpur.
