Palamu DC Stresses Coordination, Reviews Government Schemes’ Progress

Medininagar – In a meeting held on Thursday at the Collectorate’s conference hall, Palamu Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shashi Ranjan reviewed the implementation of central and state government schemes. During the district coordination committee meeting, the DC emphasized the importance of interdepartmental coordination to ensure the schemes’ benefits reach the last beneficiary.

The DC urged officials to expedite project implementation, highlighting the need for teamwork. He stated that efficient coordination within the system leads to timely completion of projects, benefiting the public effectively.

Housing and Infrastructure Initiatives Reviewed

The DC reviewed the progress of housing projects such as PM Housing, Ambedkar Awas, and Abua Awas Yojana. Strict instructions were issued to Block Development Officers (BDOs) to complete pending housing units. Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) were tasked with assessing construction material requirements and submitting reports from all blocks.

Focus on Rural Development and Welfare Schemes

Schemes under MNREGA, including Veer Shaheed Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana, Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, and Birsa Irrigation Well Development Scheme, were reviewed. The DC stressed timely execution of all approved projects, warning against negligence.

The meeting also assessed progress in various other initiatives such as scholarships, uniform distribution, land acquisition, supply chain management, Kisan Credit Card loans, and livestock shed construction. Officials were directed to ensure efficient execution and report any challenges promptly.

Present at the meeting were Municipal Commissioner Mohammad Javed Hussain, Additional Collector Kundan Kumar, Chhatarpur and Sadar SDOs, along with several BDOs, COs, and departmental officials.
