Loan Relief: 74,077 Kolhan Farmers Get Rs 283 Crore Waiver

Major boost for East Singhbhum as 26,759 farmers receive Rs 101 crore debt relief

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand government has provided substantial financial relief to over 74,000 farmers across Kolhan division through its agricultural loan waiver program.

The initiative brings welcome relief to numerous farming families. Moreover, the scheme covers loans taken before March 31, 2020.

A local farmer expressed immense gratitude. “This waiver has given us a fresh start,” he noted.

District-wise Implementation

West Singhbhum shows remarkable progress in loan waivers. Meanwhile, 25,828 farmers received relief worth Rs 100 crore.

Furthermore, Saraikela-Kharsawan has helped 21,490 farmers. In addition, the district has processed Rs 82.31 crore in waivers.

Future Prospects

The scheme continues to accept new applications. However, 230 cases in East Singhbhum await processing.

On the other hand, this program aligns with national agricultural reforms. Besides, it supports sustainable farming practices.

Additional Support Measures

The state offers various other farming subsidies. Moreover, it provides modern equipment at reduced rates.

Additionally, farmers can access agricultural training programs. Furthermore, expert guidance helps improve crop yields.
