Bajrang Dal Organizes Run for Health and Kabaddi Event in Jamshedpur

Anti-Addiction Campaign Highlights Health Awareness and Cultural Preservation

Key Points:

  • Bajrang Dal’s Run for Health promotes a drug-free lifestyle

  • Kabaddi competition held as part of Sanskar Week activities

  • Focus on youth awareness and cultural revival across Jharkhand

JAMSHEDPUR – Bajrang Dal’s Jamshedpur unit concluded its "Run for Health" and Kabaddi competition on Saturday, aimed at promoting anti-addiction awareness under the ongoing Sanskar Week.

The event, led by Chandan Das, Bajrang Dal’s city convener, began at Jubilee Park near the statue of Jamsetji Tata. Participants took an oath to abstain from substance abuse before embarking on the run. The rally emphasized the slogan, "Hindu youth, quit addiction and shape the nation’s destiny," calling on the community to reject harmful habits.

Das urged attendees to expand the organization’s activities through weekly satsangs, upasana centers, and values-driven initiatives. As part of the campaign, the Bajrang Dal is conducting similar programs in all blocks of Jharkhand from November 23 to November 30.

He also highlighted concerns about the negative impact of addiction on Hindu youth, juxtaposing it with societal challenges. "Hindu youth are losing their potential to vices, while others focus on fitness and community growth. This imbalance is worrisome, and we must correct it," Das remarked.

Key participants included district vice president Gopi Rao, organizational minister Sanjay Singh, and other prominent leaders such as Jitendra Pramanik, Vishal Mishra, and Harsh Sharma. Hundreds of volunteers actively participated in the event, pledging to promote a healthier, addiction-free lifestyle.
