RANCHI – Hemant Soren, accompanied by his wife Kalpana Soren, visited his ancestral village Nemra to honor his grandfather’s martyrdom.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) achieved a historic victory in the 2024 assembly elections, securing 34 seats—the party’s best performance to date. In celebration, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with his wife and legislator Kalpana Soren, visited their ancestral village, Nemra, where they received a grand welcome from party workers.
On November 28, Hemant Soren is set to take the oath as Chief Minister for the fourth time. Prior to this, he and his wife arrived in Nemra to participate in the martyrdom ceremony of his grandfather, Sobran Manjhi, who was the father of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren. The ceremony commemorated Sobran Manjhi’s contributions and sacrifices.
The visit to Nemra holds significant emotional value for the Soren family, as it connects them to their roots and honors their ancestors’ legacy. The grand reception by party workers reflects the widespread support and enthusiasm following JMM’s electoral success.
