JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel’s Vijaya-II Iron Ore Mine hosted a trade test competition on November 22, 2024, as part of the 62nd Annual Mine Safety Week celebrations. The event was organized under the aegis of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), Chaibasa region.
The competition saw participation from mechanical and operator category workers representing four major mines: Manoharpur Iron Ore Mine (SAIL), Banduhurang Open Cast Mine (UCIL), Parambaljodi Iron and Manganese Mine, and Vijaya-II Iron Ore Mine.
A dedicated evaluation team, comprising A1B Group officials, assessed the skills of the participants. The competition aimed to foster safety awareness and encourage skill development among mine workers.
This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of mining companies to ensure safety and efficiency in operations while promoting a culture of excellence among their workforce.
