JAMSHEDPUR – The National Service Scheme (NSS) at NIT Jamshedpur has announced its annual winter Cloth Donation Drive for 2024, inviting community members to share warmth with those in need this season.

The drive, designed to spread kindness within Jamshedpur, encourages donors to contribute items such as sweaters, jackets, shawls, and other winter clothing to benefit underprivileged residents.

From November 14th to 16th, NSS volunteers will collect donations directly from participants’ doorsteps, available between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

All donors are requested to provide washed and neatly pressed items to ensure dignity and respect for recipients.

“This initiative is about bringing our community together and sharing warmth with those facing the harsh winter months without adequate protection,” shared an NSS NIT Jamshedpur volunteer, adding that even a single item can make a difference in someone’s life.

Those interested in participating can reach out to NSS coordinators Rohit Shukla at 70611 13618 and Shifan Akram at 95083 88643 for more details.

With each donation, the drive aims to build a supportive network of kindness, hoping to spread warmth and compassion throughout the community this winter.
