JAMSHEDPUR – In a tragic incident, 18-year-old Pinki Namta, a resident of Bhuiyanpada in Rajestate under Ghatshila police jurisdiction, died under mysterious circumstances at her home on Wednesday evening.
According to her father, Gopal Namta, Pinki had been serving as a volunteer at the Ghatshila Board Middle School polling center that morning.
She returned home around noon, had lunch, and soon began feeling unwell, prompting her to lie down in her room.
When she didn’t wake up by 4 pm, her family members went to check on her and found her unresponsive.
With the help of neighbors, she was rushed to the Ghatshila Sub-Divisional Hospital around 5 pm, but Dr. Vikas Mardi declared her dead upon examination.
The cause of Pinki’s death remains unknown, leaving her family and community in shock.
District Council member Karn Singh visited the grieving family to offer condolences.
Her body will be transferred to MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur on Thursday morning for a postmortem examination.
