JAMSHEDPUR – As the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections approaches, East Singhbhum district administration has started dispatching polling teams from Cooperative College in Bistupur and LBSM College in Karandih. Early Tuesday morning, 1913 teams began departing to oversee polling on November 13 across the district’s six constituencies.
To ensure smooth elections, polling teams are equipped with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs), and additional supplies required to manage voting from morning till closing. District Commissioner Ananya Mittal has organized constituency-based stalls to distribute these materials efficiently. For Jugsalai, Jamshedpur East, and Jamshedpur West, teams are departing from Cooperative College in Bistupur, with over 1,032 teams expected to leave by the evening.
Enhanced Support and Logistics for Polling Day

Under DC Mittal’s directive, medical support teams, including government doctors, have been stationed at both Cooperative College and LBSM College to address any health concerns that may arise among polling personnel. This added support aims to ensure all polling officials are fit and prepared to handle the voting day smoothly.
Strict Protocols and Materials for Election Integrity
To safeguard the integrity of the election process, polling teams are provided with all necessary equipment, including EVMs, VVPATs, and critical materials to manage and document each step of the polling process. “Our priority is a seamless and fair election process, and every detail is carefully planned,” stated a district official. All dispatch activities are expected to conclude by evening as Jamshedpur readies for voting day.
