JAMSHEDPUR – On the occasion of Nag Panchami, members of the Telugu community gathered at Jubilee Park in Jamshedpur to perform traditional worship rituals for the snake deity.

A large group of women assembled at the snake shrine within the park to honor the deity, whom they regard as an incarnation of Lord Shiva. During the ceremony, the women offered milk and eggs to the deity, seeking blessings for their families’ health and prosperity.

According to a devotee having roots in Andhra Pradesh, “Nag Panchami is a key festival where we pray to the snake god for the well-being of our families.”

Nag Panchami holds deep cultural significance for the Telugu community, especially for those from Andhra Pradesh, where such rituals are performed annually to invoke divine blessings.
